Our firm provides a cost effective divorce in cases where both spouses are in agreement for all the terms of divorce.

We provide options that allow you to keep your costs to a minimum:

1. You have the option of representing yourself, presenting the Court with documents prepared by our attorneys and having been advised by our attorneys in the process; or
2. You can retain this firm to represent you and prepare the legal documents that reflect the agreements reached between you and your spouse and present those documents to the court on your behalf.

Our attorneys are also highly experienced in complicated and contested family law matters in which agreements regarding child custody or division of marital property cannot be reached. As you would expect, contested divorces are substantially more costly because of the attorney time involved.

Pro Se Representation (Do it yourself)

In some cases you may be able to represent yourself in your divorce. This is referred to as Pro Se Representation. You can save hundreds of dollars by filing your own documents and appearing before the court on your own. Our experienced attorneys would prepare your legal documents and will advise you all the way through the process of your Pro Se Divorce.

For Archer County residences, you will file your petition for divorce with the District Clerk which is located at 1 Courthouse Circle Drive, Jourdanton, Texas 78026.

If you prefer to have legal representation in court, our attorneys will advise you regarding the rights of the parties, prepare the legal documents reflecting the agreements between you and your spouse and appear with you in court to finalize your divorce. This may include preparing supplemental documents required in your divorce case including child support withholding orders, documents to transfer title to real property, motor vehicles and retirement benefits.

Fees and Costs

We have developed a fee schedule for our services that allows you to pay only for the legal services involved in your unique legal matter and not one flat rate for every case. For example, a simple agreed divorce involving no children and no marital property will take less time to resolve and the legal fees will be less than those in a complicated divorce involving child custody, division of marital property, spousal maintenance and retirement benefits. Our fee schedule for agreed divorce will set out the total cost of your legal matter with no hidden fees or costs.

With Children:		$300.00 (standard provisions)
With Real Property (land or home)		$200.00 (more than 2 real properties)
Retirement awarded with no division		$0.00
Retirement –division of retirement		$750.00 for each QDRO including military, TRS, FERS etc…
Spousal Maintenance		$250.00

Additional fees may be required for nonstandard or unique provisions not listed above
